Jurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Kelautan Tropis is a scientific journal in the field of tropical marine science and technology. The first issue was published in June 2009 in print form under the name E-Jurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Kelautan Tropis. Starting in December 2010, it was published in print and electronic. The name was changed in 2018 to Jurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Kelautan Tropis. The Journal is published three times a year: April, August, and December.
Jurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Kelautan Tropis is committed to publishing good-quality scientific papers. The journal focuses on publications in the field of tropical marine science and technology in the form of Original Research, Systematic Reviews, and Meta-Analyses.
Jurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Kelautan Tropis is accredited and indexed in SINTA (Sinta score = S3) by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia from volume 12 number 2 of 2020 to volume 17 number 1 of 2025 following Decree No. : 164/E/KPT/2021, December 27, 2021.
Jurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Kelautan Tropis is hosted and managed by the Department of Marine Science and Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, IPB University in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Maritime Specialists, and the Association of Indonesian Coastal Management Experts.
