We are excited to announce that Media Konservasi will host the International Conference on Tropical Conservation & Ecotourism (TropConEco) 2024. The conference is scheduled for May 28, 2024. The event will be conducted fully online by Zoom meeting platform.

We invite submissions of abstracts for presentation at this international conference. Selected abstract will have a chance to publish the fullpaper to Media Konservasi journal without APC (free publication charge).

Is this conference free?
Yes, this conference is free. You can join without any fee.
I cannot attend this conference in person. Is the conference hold online?
Yes, this conference will be conducted fully online through Zoom meeting platform.
I have paper(s) currently under publication process in Media Konservasi journal, can I join this conference?
Yes, we do selection for papers currently under publication process in Media Konservasi. Selected papers will be invited to present the paper at the conference. We also welcome other unselected papers to be presented at the conference.
Who is eligible to be presenters in the conference?
If you have research in the field of tropical conservation and ecotourism, you are very welcome to submit your abstract.
Is there any template for the abstract?
No, you may simply copy and paste your abstract to the form.
Do I need to prepare the fullpaper?
You do not need to submit the fullpaper during the abstract submission. But we recommend you to prepare it. Once you receive the notification of your abstract acceptance, we will ask you to upload the fullpaper.

Can I attend this conference without presenting a paper?

Will you publish the presented paper as conference proceedings?
No, we will not publish the papers as proceedings. Instead, they will be published as journal research papers.
Is the journal indexed by Scopus or WOS?
Currently, it is not indexed. However, we plan to submit it for inclusion in Scopus by the end of this year. The inclusion will encompass all papers published in the last 5 years.
If, for any reason, I am unable to attend the conference, would I still be able to publish my paper in Media Konservasi?
Yes, fortunately, you can still proceed with the publication process for Media Konservasi. However, unfortunately, you will not be eligible for a free APC (Article Processing Charge).
