Peer Review Process
Every manuscript submitted to Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Agri-Informatika (JIKA) goes through administrative screening, a plagiarism check, evaluation by the Editorial Board, and peer review by reviewers before a decision on publication is made. JIKA applies single-blind peer review: reviewer identities are kept confidential from the authors.

Screening and Review Stages
1
Account registration in OJS
Authors register an account in the OJS system of Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Agri-Informatika and receive a confirmation email.
Registration failed → The author contacts the journal manager.

Article submission
Authors submit the manuscript together with a cover letter through OJS.

Plagiarism check
The journal manager checks the similarity level of the manuscript using Turnitin.
Similarity > 20% → The manuscript is rejected.
Similarity < 20% → The manuscript proceeds to the Editorial Board screening.

Initial screening by the Editorial Board1 week
The Editorial Board checks whether the manuscript meets the journal's acceptance standards.
SUITABLE → The manuscript is sent to peer reviewers.
NEEDS REVISION → The author revises according to the Editorial Board's comments.
NOT SUITABLE → The manuscript is rejected.

Peer review (single-blind)1–2 weeks
Two peer reviewers evaluate the manuscript and return the review form to the Journal Manager. Reviewer identities are not disclosed to the author.

Editorial Board decision1 week
The Editorial Board determines the status of the manuscript based on the reviewers' evaluations.
SUITABLE → The manuscript moves on to production.
NEEDS REVISION → The author revises the manuscript (1–2 weeks), and it is then re-evaluated.
NOT SUITABLE → The manuscript is rejected.
Production and Publication Stages

Article Publication Charge (APC) payment
Authors pay the APC for manuscripts accepted for publication.

Letter of acceptance
The author receives a letter of acceptance.

Proofreading and layout
The journal team proofreads and typesets the article.
10
Camera-ready version
The final version is sent to the author for approval.

Online publication
The article is published online on the website of Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Agri-Informatika.
