Archiving Policy

Every article we publish is preserved for the long term. Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Agri-Informatika (JIKA) ensures continued access to its content through the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS digital preservation networks.

HOW PRESERVATION WORKS
1
Publication
An article is published on the JIKA website, with its full text available as an open-access galley.
2
Harvest
LOCKSS and CLOCKSS regularly collect the journal's published content through the journal's Publisher Manifest.
3
Preservation
Copies are stored on multiple preservation servers at participating institutions, so content survives even if one copy is lost.
4
Continued access
If the journal ever becomes permanently unavailable online, the preserved content can be made publicly accessible again.
WHY LOCKSS AND CLOCKSS
Built for scholarly journals
Both networks are widely used by libraries and publishers for the long-term preservation of scholarly content, and are supported natively by Open Journal Systems.
Lots of copies keep stuff safe
The LOCKSS technology keeps multiple copies in different locations to protect content from loss or tampering.
A safety net for readers
CLOCKSS is a geographically distributed archive that can release preserved content publicly if it is no longer available from the publisher.

Details of the content made available for preservation are listed in the journal's Publisher Manifests:
