CROSSMARK POLICY
(Kebijakan Crossmark)
JURNAL ILMU KOMPUTER DAN AGRI-INFORMATIKA (JIKA)
1. JIKA's Commitment
Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Agri-Informatika (JIKA) recognises the importance of maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the scholarly record for researchers, librarians, and readers. JIKA wants readers to be confident that the article they are reading is a reliable and current version.
To this end, JIKA uses Crossref's Crossmark service as a commitment to maintain its published content and to alert readers whenever changes are made to an article.
2. What Crossmark Is
Crossmark is a standard service from Crossref that lets readers identify the current version of an article. By applying the Crossmark button, a publisher commits to maintaining its published content and to notifying readers of updates such as corrections or retractions.
By clicking the Crossmark logo, readers can see the current status of an article and additional information about its publication history.
3. Where the Crossmark Logo Appears
- On the article landing page on the JIKA website.
- On the first page of the article PDF.
The logo in a downloaded PDF remains linked to Crossref data, so readers can check an article's current status even when reading an older copy.
4. Information Displayed
The Crossmark box displays the following information:
- Article status: whether the article is the current version or has been updated (correction, expression of concern, or retraction), with a link to the update notice.
- Publication history: the dates the manuscript was received, revised, accepted, and published online.
- Additional information: such as DOI, licence, and funding sources, where this metadata is available.
5. Types of Updates Recorded
The following updates are recorded and linked through Crossmark, in accordance with the JIKA Retraction and Correction Policy:
| Update type | Description |
|---|---|
| Erratum | Correction of a significant error introduced during the publishing process |
| Corrigendum | Correction of a significant error made by the authors |
| Addendum | Additional information from the authors to clarify or update the article |
| Expression of concern | An editor's statement of serious doubts about an article under investigation |
| Retraction | Withdrawal of the article from the scholarly record; the article remains accessible, marked RETRACTED |
| Removal | Article content replaced by a notice for legal or security reasons; metadata retained |
| Replacement | The original article is retracted and a corrected version is published |
Every update notice is published with its own DOI and linked in both directions to the original article.
6. Changes Not Requiring a Notice
Minor changes that do not affect the content, findings, or interpretation of an article, such as fixes to display formatting or links, do not require an update notice and do not change the Crossmark status. Any change to the scholarly content of a published article is always made through a formal notice as set out in Section 5.
7. Responsibilities
- The JIKA editorial office ensures that the Crossmark logo appears on every article and that Crossref metadata is updated promptly once an update notice is published.
- Authors who discover an error in their published article should contact the editor promptly at jika@apps.ipb.ac.id so that the update can be processed under the JIKA Retraction and Correction Policy.
- Readers who identify an error or problem in an article may report it to the same email address, stating the article title and DOI.
