Recurrent rectal prolapse in mix breed cat
Abstract
Seekor kucing ras campuran dibawa pemiliknya datang ke Rumah Sakit Hewan Provinsi Jawa Barat dengan keluhan keluarnya massa kemerahan dari anus yang pernah terjadi 7 kali sebelumnya. Kucing didiagnosa mengalami prolapsus rektum berulang. Penanganan terakhir pada kasus prolapsus dilakukan tindakan amputasi rektum (enterectomy) dan anastomosis, serta colopexy. Selama pemulihan diberikan infus NaCl, antibiotik injeksi dan topikal, serta NSAID sebagai terapi. Namun, kucing tidak dapat bertahan dan mengalami kematian 5 hari setelah pembedahan.
