Article Processing Charges
ARSHI Veterinary Letters is an open-access journal. To support editorial management, peer review administration, article production, online publication, and long-term archiving, accepted manuscripts are subject to an Article Processing Charge (APC).
Submission Charges
Submitting a manuscript to ARSHI Veterinary Letters is free of charge.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
Open-access publishing involves operational and production costs. The APCs for ARSHI Veterinary Letters are partially supported by the Indonesian Veterinary Hospital Association (ARSHI) and the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, IPB University.
Authors are required to pay the APC only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. Please note that other discounts, including institutional membership discounts, are not applicable to this APC unless formally stated by the journal.
What the APC Covers
The APC helps support the following publication processes:
Each submitted manuscript undergoes initial quality checks, including plagiarism screening using paid software and administrative checks by the journal handling staff.
This includes editorial handling, reviewer assignment, external review coordination, expert evaluation, and administrative management throughout the editorial workflow.
Accepted manuscripts undergo basic language editing, typesetting, proofreading, layout preparation, and production in an online-compatible PDF format.
The journal performs correction checks to improve publication quality and minimize typographical, layout, and production errors.
The APC supports website maintenance, permanent article archiving, and article dissemination through journal communication channels or social media upon request.
APC Waiver
Authors may be eligible for an APC waiver under the following conditions:
- The corresponding author has a Scopus or Web of Science h-index of 10 or higher.
- Authors are affiliated with institutions from low-income countries.
Special publication requests may be submitted by scientific meeting committees. Publication costs and related arrangements will be regulated separately in an agreement letter. In such cases, manuscripts that pass the review process may be distributed across several publication numbers or issues, according to editorial and publication arrangements.
Advertisement Policy
ARSHI Veterinary Letters has not accepted or published advertisements on the journal website or within journal articles.
Encouragement for English Manuscript Submission
In line with the journal’s effort to improve the global readability and international visibility of published manuscripts, authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts in English.
Starting from Volume 8 in 2024, authors have been instructed to prepare manuscripts in English. This policy has been applied to manuscript submissions since November 2023.
Manuscripts submitted in Bahasa Indonesia may still be considered, but an additional language translation fee of IDR 250,000 per manuscript will be applied.
We appreciate the participation of authors in supporting the publication of high-quality manuscripts for the advancement of veterinary medicine.
For further information regarding APC payment, waiver eligibility, or special publication arrangements, authors are encouraged to contact the editorial office of ARSHI Veterinary Letters.
