Kista folikel ovarium sinister pada kucing domestik
Abstract
Kista folikel ovarium merupakan gangguan pada hewan betina berupa adanya kista atau timbunan cairan pada folikel di ovarium. Tulisan ini melaporkan kasus kista folikel pada seekor kucing domestik betina berusia 4 tahun bernama Bella, berwarna calico, yang dibawa pemiliknya ke klinik dengan keluhan tidak aktif bergerak, penurunan nafsu makan dan minum, sudah lama tidak minta kawin serta bagian perut terlihat membesar. Hasil pemeriksaan fisik didapatkan kucing mengalami anemia, frekuensi nafas cepat, serta saat palpasi abdomen teraba adanya distensi tanpa respon rasa sakit. Pemeriksaan penunjang dengan ultrasonografi transabdominal tampak adanya bentukan bulat besar dengan gambaran anechoic dengan sekat yang jelas pada bagian saluran reproduksi. Kucing didiagnosis mengalami kista folikel dan dilakukan tindakan ovariohisterektomi untuk mengeluarkan kista. Pengobatan pascaoperasi diberikan obat antibiotik, anti nyeri, antiinflamasi serta multivitamin dan kondisi mulai membaik pada hari kedua pascaoperasi
