Pencak silat is a sport that requires physical strength, agility, and high endurance. The nutritional status of adolescent pencak silat athletes can be influenced by a number of factors, such as nutritional intake and training habits. This study aims to determine the relationship between carbohydrate intake, vitamin C intake, and training frequency on the nutritional status of pencak silat athletes. This study used a cross-sectional design involving 40 pencak silat athletes selected using total sampling technique. Data on carbohydrate and vitamin C intake were collected using the 2×24-hour food recall method and analyzed using the NutriSurvey program. Training frequency was obtained through a questionnaire, while nutritional status was determined based on the Age-Specific Body Mass Index (BMI/A). Data analysis was performed using Spearman's Rank Correlation test at a significance level of α=0.05. The analysis found a significant relationship between carbohydrate intake and the nutritional status of athletes (p=0.000; r=0.527). Conversely, there was no significant relationship between vitamin C intake (p=0.950; r=0.010) or training frequency (p=0.604; r=0.085) and nutritional status. Most athletes (70%) had normal nutritional status, although most also had insufficient carbohydrate (77.5%) and vitamin C (72.5%) intake. Higher carbohydrate intake was associated with better nutritional status, while vitamin C and training frequency do not show a significant relationship. Therefore, more attention needs to be paid to meeting carbohydrate requirements and providing ongoing nutrition education to support optimal athlete performance.
