Profiling of canine distemper virus infection from Small Animal Veterinary Clinics in Cities of Nueva Ecija, Philippines

Canine distemper virus (CDV) adalah patogen yang sangat menular dan mematikan yang memengaruhi musang domestik dan liar. Studi retrospektif ini menganalisis 267 kasus CDV dari klinik hewan di Nueva Ecija Pilipina selama tiga tahun (2020-2022). Data termasuk usia, jenis kelamin, ras, status vaksinasi, dan tanda-tanda klinis dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-square. Tingkat infeksi tertinggi (38,95%) diamati pada anjing berusia ≥ 13 bulan. Gejala klinis lebih banyak ditemukan pada betina (53,18%) dibandingkan jantan (43,82%). Ras toy paling banyak terpengaruh (38,58%), dan 68,54% dari kasus tidak divaksinasi. Gejala yang paling umum adalah keluarnya cairan hidung (46,44%). Insiden CDV memuncak selama musim hujan, dengan Kota Cabanatuan melaporkan jumlah kasus tertinggi. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara usia (p=0,003), ras (p=0,042), dan infeksi CDV.
