History

2008

JIKK was first published by the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Faculty of Human Ecology, IPB University, with two issues per year (January and August).

2013

The publication frequency increased from two to three issues per year, published in January, May, and September.

2015

JIKK received its first national accreditation based on Decree No. 2/E/KPT/2015, effective from 1 December 2015. Accreditation certificate effective from Volume 8 Number 3 (2015) to Volume 12 Number 3 (2019).

2019

JIKK established a collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Family and Consumer Sciences (ASIKKI).

In the same year, JIKK was accredited SINTA 2 (Rank 2) based on Decree No. 36/E/KPT/2019, effective from Volume 12 Number 2 (2019) to Volume 17 Number 1 (2024).

2026

Following the institutional transformation of the Faculty of Human Ecology (FEMA) into the Faculty of Social Science and Human Ecology (FISEMA), JIKK's publisher changed from the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences to the Faculty of Social Science and Human Ecology, IPB University.

In the same year, JIKK was accredited SINTA 3 (Rank 3) based on Decree No.156/C/C3/KPT/2026, effective from Volume 16 Number 2 (2023) to Volume 21 Number 1 (2028).
