PERAN VIDEO REELS DALAM MEMBENTUK SIKAP REMAJA TERHADAP PENCEGAHAN FOOD WASTE: STUDI KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE, DAN PRACTICE
The Role of Video Reels in Shaping Adolescents’ Attitudes toward Food Waste Prevention: A Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice Study

Food waste di Indonesia masih tergolong tinggi dan menjadi permasalahan lingkungan serta ekonomi yang signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh paparan video Reels Instagram terhadap knowledge, attitude, dan practice (KAP) remaja dalam pencegahan food waste. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen one-group after-only dengan teknik penarikan sampel cluster sampling yang melibatkan 174 siswa di salah satu madrasah aliyah di Kota Payakumbuh. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring setelah responden menyaksikan tiga video Reels edukatif berdurasi pendek, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa paparan video Reels berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sikap remaja dan praktik remaja dalam pencegahan food waste, namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pengetahuan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa media sosial, khususnya video pendek seperti Reels, memiliki potensi dalam membentuk sikap dan praktik positif remaja, tetapi memerlukan penguatan konten dan strategi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan serta mendorong perubahan perilaku. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada penerapan SEM-PLS dalam konteks Instagram Reels dan KAP food waste remaja Indonesia, memberikan wawasan empiris bagi pengembangan konten edukatif yang lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan.
