Hypertension is often accompanied by dyslipidemia, characterized by increased total cholesterol and triglycerides. Bioactive compounds in cutleaf groundcherry fruit, such as quercetin and flavonoids, are known to have hypolipidemic effects. This study aimed to assess the effect of cutleaf groundcherry juice on the lipid profile of hypertensive patients. A quasi-experimental pre-posttest design with controls was conducted on hypertensive patients at the Gambirsari Community Health Center. The control group received amlodipine and nutrition education, while the intervention group received an additional 250 mL of cutleaf groundcherry juice per day for 30 days. Total cholesterol (CHOD-PAP) and triglyceride (GPO-PAP) levels were measured before and after the intervention. Statistical analysis used the t-test, Wilcoxon test, and Mann-Whitney test. The results showed a significant decrease in total cholesterol in both groups, but triglycerides decreased significantly only in the intervention group. The average decrease was greater in the cutleaf groundcherry fruit juice group than in the control group, although it did not reach normal levels. This study showed that although total cholesterol and triglyceride levels decreased after the intervention, there was no significant difference between the group consuming cutleaf groundcherry fruit juice and the control group. ∆p value for total cholesterol levels (p=0.482) and for ∆p triglyceride levels (p=0.383).
