STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN PEMBUATAN KAPAL PERIKANAN FIBER DI PT JELAJAH SAMUDERA INTERNASIONAL
Abstract
Fishing boat is the main capital of the fishing business. PT Jelajah Samudera Internasional, a shipyard company that builds fiberglass boats in Jepara Regency. This study aims to analyze critical aspects of the PT Jelajah Samudera Internasional shipyard, including human resources, fiberglass ship construction techniques, and business feasibility through descriptive and financial analysis, as well as to develop appropriate business development strategies. The research method used descriptive and purposive sampling methods. Research analysis included financial and SWOT analysis. Financial aspects were calculated using the NPV, PI, R/C Ratio, PP, and IRR methods, while SWOT analysis was used to determine development strategies. The research results show that PT Jelajah Samudera Internasional had well-organized human resources, a clear organizational structure, and consisted of permanent and temporary workers. The technical aspects of ship construction were in accordance with standards, with a lamination process using the hand-lay-up method according to SNI 8961:2021 and a complete ship design, including line plans, construction profiles, transverse construction, general arrangement, propeller shaft design, and electricity systems. The company's economic aspects were also feasible, with an NPV value of IDR 10,113,527,932, IRR 16%, a payback period of 1.49 years, an R/C ratio of 1.53, and a profitability index of 1.89. An effective business development strategy uses a vessel quadrant I strategy, namely by increasing production through optimal use of facilities and workforce. PT Jelajah Samudera Internasional has eight development strategies that can be implemented.
