Archiving Policy

Jurnal Teknologi Perikanan dan Kelautan (JTPK) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. To guarantee the integrity, availability, and permanent record of its scholarly materials, the journal implements the following archiving policy:

 

As an Open Journal Systems (OJS)-based journal, JTPK uses the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to preserve published articles. PKP PN provides decentralized, distributed preservation through a trusted network that ensures long-term accessibility of the journal’s content.

LOCKSS 
JTPK supports digital preservation through the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system. A LOCKSS Publisher Manifest is available through the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, enabling participating libraries to collect, preserve, and provide continued access to the journal's published content.

Institutional Repository
Authors are encouraged to deposit the published versions of their articles in institutional repositories, university libraries, or subject repositories. Deposited records should include complete bibliographic metadata and a link to the original publication in JTPK.

 

Authors may archive the published version of their articles on personal websites, institutional webpages, and non-commercial scholarly platforms (e.g., ResearchGate and Academia.edu). Archived copies must include proper citation and a link to the original publication in JTPK. No embargo period applies.

The team maintains regular backups of the journal website, article files, and metadata on secure servers. Backups are conducted periodically to prevent data loss resulting from technical failures or unforeseen circumstances and to ensure the continuity of access to the journal's content.
