KARAKTERISTIK KIMIA DAN FISIK BUBUK RUMPUT LAUT Gracilaria sp DENGAN AGEN PEMUCAT NaOCl

Abstract

Brebes regency is one of the seaweed producing areas in Central Java province with seaweed area of 4,350 ha from a pond area of 12,748 ha that produces 200 tons of dried seaweed per month. Seaweed cultivated in Brebes Regency is Gracilaria sp. Seaweed processing is still very limited only dried and not yet known chemical characteristics/nutritional value of seaweed Gracilaria sp from Brebes. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of NaOCl paint agent on the chemical and physical character of seaweed powder. The treatment carried out in this study is the process of painting using a painting agent in the form of NaOCl 1% for 30 minutes and without a painting agent. The experimental design in this study is a Complete RandomIzed Design (RAL) consisting of 2 treatments with 3 replays. There are differences in the chemical and physical characteristics of Gracilaria sp Brebes seaweed powder against moisture content, ash content, fat content, and color with the use of a painting agent and without the use of a painting agent.
