Crossmark Policy Page

Crossmark is an initiative to provide a standard way for readers to locate the most current version of a piece of content. By applying the Crossmark button, the Journal of Environmental Management Mining (JPLP) is committed to maintaining the content it publishes and notifying readers of changes if and when they occur. Clicking on the Crossmark logo (at the top of each Journal of Environmental Management Mining (JPLP) article) will provide the current status of the article and may also offer additional information regarding the publication record of the article.

Articles in the Journal of Environmental Management Mining (JPLP) that feature the Crossmark icon are limited to specific types of publications, namely research and review articles. In addition to these two types of articles, Crossmark will also be applied to articles with major/substantial changes:

Correction to an Article
Corrections are published to inform readers of errors in the article that became apparent after its publication. These can be in the form of Erratum (publisher’s error) and Corrigendum (author’s error).

Retraction
Articles may be retracted for several reasons:
• There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either due to a major error (e.g., miscalculation or experimental error) or due to fabrication (e.g., data) or falsification (e.g., image manipulation)
• The article constitutes plagiarism
• Duplicate or overlapping publication
• Unethical research

In the case of a retraction, the text of the article is retracted, and a single page replaces the online pages with citation details and an explanation. The retraction notice will be linked to the retracted article (which usually remains on the site), and the PDF will be marked as retracted on every page.
