Abstrak

Parasit gastrointestinal (GI) merupakan faktor utama yang mengurangi produktivitas ruminansia kecil, khususnya domba berekor gemuk, di daerah tropis. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi profil hematologi dan biokimia darah sebagai indikator infeksi nematoda GI pada domba yang dipelihara di dataran tinggi. Sebanyak 11 domba betina berumur dua tahun digunakan, terdiri dari tiga domba positif Trichostrongylus sp., empat domba positif Strongyloides sp., dan empat domba negatif berdasarkan pemeriksaan feses. Parameter hematologi dianalisis menggunakan ABX Micros 60, dan parameter biokimia dianalisis menggunakan ABX Pentra C200. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Kruskal-Wallis dengan uji post hoc Bonferroni. Hasil menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan (P>0,05) pada parameter hematologi dan biokimia antara kelompok yang terinfeksi dan tidak terinfeksi. Variasi dalam respons hematopoietik ini diduga dipengaruhi oleh intensitas infeksi, status gizi, variasi individu, keterbatasan ukuran sampel, dan kondisi lingkungan.
