Pemantauan penanganan esophageal ulcer dan gastric ulcer pada lumba-lumba hidung botol Indo-Pasifik (Tursiops aduncus) dengan teknik endoskopi
Abstract
Seekor lumba-lumba hidung botol Indo Pasifik betina yang telah berada di lembaga konservasi selama 2 tahun mengalami gejala tidak nafsu makan. Keadaan lumba-lumba terlihat tidak aktif bergerak dan cenderung berenang menyendiri. Tindakan yang dilakukan adalah pemeriksaan saluran pencernaan menggunakan endoskopi dan didapatkan diagnosa esophageal ulcer dan gastric ulcer. Penanganan pasca pemeriksaan yaitu penyesuaian pemberian pakan, rehidrasi, pemberian antasida, proton pump inhibitor, antibiotik, dan multivitamin. Setelah pengobatan selama 14 hari, dilakukan evaluasi menggunakan endoskopi, terlihat mukosa esofagus serta lambung depan telah membaik, lumba-lumba kembali makan dan beraktivitas normal.
