Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat titer antibodi ayam dan proteksi terhadap virus Newcastle Disease (ND) serta mengamati perubahan pada patologi anatomi ayam yang terinfeksi virus ND. Sampel penelitian berupa 10 serum ayam layer berumur 37 minggu dan organ ayam yang telah mati pada peternakan perseorangan di Kambingan, Malang, Jawa Timur. Titer antibodi diukur dengan uji Haemagglutination Inhibition (HI) dan pemeriksaan patologi anatomi pada organ ayam.  Hasil pengukuran titer antibodi menunjukkan gambaran yang masih protektif terhadap virus ND yaitu 210 – 212. Hasil pengamatan patologi anatomi menunjukkan adanya lesi berupa hemoragi pada trakea, proventrikulus, dan sekum.
