Infeksi Anisakid pada lumba-lumba hidung botol indo-pasifik (Tursiops aduncus) di situs konservasi lumba-lumba, Indonesia
Abstract
Penyakit parasit dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan lumba-lumba yang dipelihara di konservasi. Informasi berkaitan dengan jenis parasit yang menginfeksi lumba-lumba di konservasi masih sangat terbatas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi parasit lumba-lumba hidung botol indo-pasifik (Tursiops aduncus) di situs konservasi lumba-lumba, Indonesia. Sampel feses diambil secara langsung dari rektum menggunakan rubber catheter. Sampel feses dilakukan pemeriksaan dengan metode pengapungan sederhana, filtrasi dan sedimentasi, serta metode Baermann. Hasil dari pemeriksaan sampel feses menunjukkan satu dari tiga lumba-lumba hidung botol indo-pasifik (Tursiops aduncus) terinfeksi Anisakid. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan perlunya dilakukan pengendalian parasit di situs konservasi lumba-lumba.Downloads
