About the Journal

MARINE FISHERIES: Journal of Marine Fisheries Technology and Management is a scientific journal in the field of marine fisheries technology and management.  The journal publishes original research and review in scope of fishing gears, fishing technologies, fishing vessels and transportation, fishing port policy and management, and marine fisheries system. This journal has been accredited by Directorate General of Research, Technology and Higher Education Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Republic of Indonesia since 2015. This journal is organized by Communication Forum and Partnership of Capture Fisheries in Indonesia and Department of Fisheries Resources Utilization Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Bogor Agricultural University.  This Journal is published twice a year May and November.

Announcement on the Accreditation Status of Marine Fisheries Journal (MarFish)

Dear Authors, Prospective Authors, and Reviewers,

We appreciate your continued interest and engagement with the Marine Fisheries Journal. In response to the numerous inquiries regarding the journal’s current accreditation status, we would like to provide the following official information:

The Marine Fisheries Journal has submitted an application for re-accreditation to the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology. As of the date of this announcement, the new accreditation decision has not yet been formally issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

Referring to the official letter from the Directorate of Research, Technology, and Community Service (DRTPM), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (No. 1469/E5/DT.05.00/2024, dated 20 November 2024), it is stated that:

“Until a new accreditation decision is finalized, journals undergoing the re-accreditation process will maintain their previous accreditation status.”

Marine Fisheries : Journal of Marine Fisheries Technology and Management (p-ISSN: 2087-4235 and e-ISSN: 2541-1659) first published in 2010 and periodically publishes twice a year (May and November). Journal of Marine Fisheries is organized by Communication Forum and Partnership of Capture Fisheries and Department of Fisheries Resources Utilization Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences IPB University (MoU Document). Marine Fisheries Journal is a scientific journal that publishes results of studies in the field of technology and fisheries management

Since establishment, Marine Fisheries has been published in Bahasa Indonesia. On December 23th, 2020, Marine Fisheries has been accredited by No SK: 200/M/KPT/2020 as one of reputable journals for marine field in Indonesia, specifically capture fisheries technology and management. We express our gratitude to the authors, reviewers, editorial boards and related parties for their support and cooperation. Now, it is time to face new challenges and made an improvement. Starting from January 2024, Marine Fisheries only receive manuscript in English. Hence, we invite researchers and academics in related fields to publish with us. During the transition period, editorial team will provide assistant for authors, especially in translating the manuscript (additional cost applied).
