Mother's Education Level and Protein Adequacy Level with Nutritional Status of Adolescents in Babakan Village

Adolescence is a period when physical, psychological, and intellectual aspects experience rapid growth and development. This is a form of preparation for entering the adult phase. This study aims to analyze the correlation between mother’s education level and protein adequacy level with adolescent nutritional status (BMI-for-age) in Babakan Village. The design of this study was cross sectional with 48 subjects selected by random sampling. Data collection was done through interviews using questionnaires and 1x24 hours food recall. This study was conducted in August-November 2024 in Babakan Village, Dramaga Subdistrict, Bogor Regency. Based on data analysis, it was found that most of the mothers' education level (50.0%) was SMA/equivalent and the protein adequacy level (55,1%) of adolescents was still classified as a insufficient (<80%). The majority of the nutritional status of adolescents was categorized as good nutrition (77.1%). The results of the Spearman Rank statistical test showed that there was no significant correlation between mother's education level and protein adequacy level with the nutritional status (BMI-for-age) of adolescents in Babakan Village (p>0.05).
