Correction and Retraction Policy

MARINE FISHERIES: Journal of Marine Fisheries Technology and Management is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the published scholarly record. Corrections or retractions may be issued when errors, misconduct, or other circumstances affect the reliability or integrity of a published article.

Corrections
A correction may be issued when a published article contains an error or omission that affects the accuracy or clarity of the article but does not invalidate its main findings or conclusions. The correction will be linked to the original article and clearly identified.

Retractions

An article may be considered for retraction when:

  1. there is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable because of misconduct or a major error;
  2. substantially the same findings have been published elsewhere without appropriate cross-referencing, permission, or justification;
  3. the article contains plagiarism or other serious publication misconduct; or
  4. the research involves serious ethical violations.

Retractions will be clearly identified and linked to the original article. The retraction process follows relevant COPE guidance on retraction.
