The Marine Fisheries journal implements a strict digital preservation policy to ensure continued access to scientific articles. All articles published in this journal are securely archived using the following methods:
Self-Archiving: The Marine Fisheries journal uses IPB Universityโs local repository system to ensure data remains secure in the event of a primary system failure.
External Archiving Services: Marine Fisheries utilizes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems through Open Journal Systems (OJS) to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries.
Unique Identification: Each article has an active Digital Object Identifier (DOI) managed through Crossref, ensuring that links to the article remain permanent and do not break. Marine Fisheries deposits its publications in various digital archives around the world to ensure long-term digital preservation. All published articles are indexed by Crossref, Garuda, Sinta, and EBSCO. All articles are permanently archived and available in HTML and PDF formats. Marine Fisheries provides article metadata in accordance with the Open Archives Initiative protocol, thereby enabling the automatic โharvestingโ of research articles for inclusion in other digital archives. To ensure the security and permanent access to this research, we support the non-exclusive digital archiving of research papers by as many international repositories as possible. Authors are permitted and encouraged to disseminate the final version of their articles (Version of Record) on research networks (such as ResearchGate or Academia.edu) to increase visibility and citation impact.
