Peer Review Process

  1. Authors submitting manuscripts must use the JAI manuscript template (link to template manuscript).
  2. Manuscripts received by the editor will undergo an initial screening to evaluate the manuscript's suitability for the journal's scope, format, and plagiarism (maximum 25%). If the manuscript does not meet the scope, it will be rejected.
  3. After the manuscript passes the administrative selection process, the editorial technician will send an article submission form and invoice. If the author is willing to proceed, the author must submit the article submission form and proof of transfer via JAI's OJS.
  4. The editor will then identify potential reviewers and send review invitations. All review processes are conducted anonymously. Reviewers are asked to classify the paper as suitable for publication, suitable for publication with revisions, or unsuitable for publication. Reviewers are selected independently, excluding individuals affiliated with the authors or their institutions.
  5. Reviewers are given time to complete their review. If they do not complete their review within the time limit, the invitation will be rejected, and another review will be invited.
  6. If a reviewer accepts the invitation, they will evaluate the manuscript and return it within two weeks with their recommendations to the Managing Editor. Reviewers are then asked to classify the paper as either a minor revision, a major revision, or a rejection.
  7. The editorial team (editor-in-chief) assesses the reviewers' evaluation results and makes an initial decision. If one of the reviewers recommends rejection, the editor will assign a new reviewer or discuss the manuscript with the editorial board to decide on the manuscript's status.
  8. For manuscripts that pass the revision stage, authors are required to revise the manuscript based on the reviewers' and editors' comments and then submit the revised manuscript along with detailed responses to the reviewers.
  9. Manuscripts with minor revisions are reviewed directly by the editor. Manuscripts with major revisions can be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation.
  10. The editorial team makes a final decision based on the revised manuscript and the reviewers' recommendations.
