Editorial Policy

Peer review policy

JAI implements a double-blind peer-review system to ensure fairness, objectivity, and integrity throughout the review process. Peer review provides an independent assessment of the scientific quality, originality, significance, and validity of submitted manuscripts by experts in the relevant field.

Upon submission, the editor assigns the manuscript to two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript's subject area. After accepting the review invitation, reviewers are generally given 2–4 weeks to evaluate the manuscript and provide detailed comments, suggestions, and recommendations.

After receiving reports from both reviewers, the Editorial Board evaluates their recommendations and determines the next course of action. If both reviewers recommend acceptance with revision, the manuscript is returned to the authors for revision. If one reviewer recommends acceptance while the other recommends rejection, the Editorial Board may assign the manuscript to a third independent reviewer for an additional evaluation. If both reviewers recommend rejection, the manuscript will be rejected.

Authors must submit a revised manuscript together with a detailed response to the reviewers' comments. For manuscripts requiring minor revisions, the Editorial Board may assess the revised manuscript and make a final decision without further external review. For manuscripts requiring major revisions, the revised manuscript is normally returned to the original reviewer(s) for re-evaluation. The reviewer(s) assess whether the authors have adequately addressed the comments and recommendations and submit an additional report to the Editorial Board.

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the quality of the revised manuscript, and its suitability for publication, the Editorial Board may accept, request further revision, or reject the manuscript. The final decision on publication rests solely with the Editorial Board.
