Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Memengaruhi Keuntungan Usaha Gula Kelapa Cetak di Kecamatan Cilongok Kabupaten Banyumas

Central Java is a major center for coconut sugar production, playing an important role in supporting the rural economy. Cilongok Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency, serves as one of the key production centers for molded coconut sugar, with business profitability influenced by various production factors and enterprise characteristics. This study aims to (1) identify the characteristics of molded coconut sugar artisans and (2) analyze the factors affecting the profitability of molded coconut sugar enterprises. The research was conducted in Pageraji Village, Cilongok Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency, selected purposively as it is a center for molded coconut sugar production. Data collection took place in April 2025, targeting molded coconut sugar artisans. The study employed a survey method with a simple random sampling technique, resulting in 65 respondents. Data analysis included descriptive analysis and analysis of factors influencing business profitability. The results indicate that molded coconut sugar artisans in Cilongok Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency, are predominantly productive-age males with low educational backgrounds, owning an average of 20 coconut trees, and running their enterprises in a hereditary manner for an average of 23 years. Production factors that significantly affect the profitability of molded coconut sugar enterprises are the costs of mangosteen peel, cooking oil, and firewood. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the efficiency of production inputs, control auxiliary material costs, and provide policy support such as cost management training and more stable access to raw materials to enhance profitability and ensure the sustainability of molded coconut sugar artisans enterprises.
