Peranan Poster dalam Advokasi Penyalahgunaan Antibiotik Belum Maksimal: Dokter Masa Depan Perlu Kuasai

Pengobatan antibiotik yang tidak rasional menyebabkan resistensi antimikroba yang menyulitkan penyembuhan infeksi dan meningkatkan pengeluaran biaya kesehatan. Mengadvokasi publik tentang bahaya resistensi antimikroba adalah langkah pencegahan yang utama. Tugas dokter tidak hanya menyelenggarakan pelayanan kesehatan, tetapi juga menjadi komunikator dan pengelola program kesehatan. Studi pilot yang menguji coba program belajar daring asinkron diadakan kepada mahasiswa kedokteran untuk mengukur kapasitasnya menyusun poster advokasi publik tentang resistensi antimikroba. Meskipun mahasiswa kedokteran mampu mendesain poster yang menarik, konten poster belum disusun dengan baik. Konten poster advokasi buatan mahasiswa tidak mencerminkan spesifikasi sasaran audiens maupun pesan kunci yang menyinggung contoh tertentu dari penyalahgunaan antibiotik. Pembelajaran advokasi perlu didesain sebagai pembelajaran praktik yang mendorong mahasiswa untuk menyusun poster advokasi yang tidak hanya menarik dilihat, tetapi juga terstruktur kontennya.
