Urgensi Data Genomik dan Kapasitas Riset dalam Strategi Pengendalian Tuberkulosis di Indonesia

Setelah peningkatan kasus TB antara 2020 hingga 2023, Indonesia menjadi salah satu negara dengan TB resisten terbanyak di dunia. Data genomik dapat digunakan sebagai alat pemantau laju resistensi bakteri TB serta dampaknya terhadap efektivitas obat antibiotik di fasilitas kesehatan. Agar dapat mengumpulkan serta menganalisis data genomik secara optimal, kapasitas penelitian kesehatan nasional perlu diperkuat. Tidak hanya melalui pendanaan atau sumber daya manusia, penguatan kapasitas juga dilakukan melalui pengadaan alat, bahan, dan platform publikasi hasil penelitian. Tindak lanjut pengumpulan data adalah penerjemahan data menjadi program dan kebijakan yang spesifik bagi kelompok masyarakat yang disasar baik menurut strata sosial maupun ekonomi.
