Plagiarism Screening and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

All manuscripts submitted to Acta VETERINARIA Indonesiana (Acta Vet. Indones.) undergo mandatory plagiarism screening prior to peer review.

The journal uses Turnitin to assess textual similarity. The acceptable similarity index must be less than 20% , excluding properly cited quotations, references, and standard scientific terminology. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold or containing evidence of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data manipulation, or unethical citation practices will be rejected immediately.

Authors are required to disclose any use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in the research or manuscript preparation process. AI usage must be transparently declared in a dedicated statement within the manuscript.

The use of AI for data generation, data manipulation, falsification of results, or fabrication of scientific content is strictly prohibited. AI tools may only be used in a supportive capacity (e.g., language editing or technical assistance) and must not replace author responsibility.

Authors bear full responsibility for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and validity of all submitted content, including any AI-assisted material.

Failure to disclose AI use or the discovery of ethical misconduct after publication will result in appropriate actions in accordance with international publishing ethics standards, including correction, expression of concern, or retraction.
