MODIFIKASI KONSTRUKSI TRAMMEL NET: UPAYA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL TANGKAPAN

Abstract

The research of trammel net construction modification was conducted by doing trial of fishing operation at Lontar, Serang. Three constructions of trammel net which was tested namely trammel net as control (TK), trammel net with treatment 1 (TP1), and trammel net with treatment 2 (TP2). TK is trammel net which has two layers of outer net and all its slackness is only distributed at the bottom of net body. Then TP1 is trammel net which has one layer of outer net and creat 1 pocket. Meanwhile, TP2 is trammel net which has one layer of outer net and creates two pockets. The result of trial showed that three constructions of trammel net caught 10 species of same organisms, there are Penaeus merguiensis, Harpiosquilla raphidea, Portunus pelagicus, Argyrosomus amoyensis, Pseudorhombus arsius, Platycephalus indicus, Pomadasys maculatus, Himantura uarnak, Leiognathus equulus, and Thryssa hamiltonii. TP2 caught 1.168 individuals, or 1.29 times more than TP1 (899 indivisuals) and 2.36 times more than TK (499 individuals). The result of statistic test of using ANOVA an LSD proved that modification of trammel net construction was proven able to increase the number of catches (F39.99: α0.05).
