Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics

MAPACE Journal is a peer-reviewed publication committed to upholding the ethical principles of academic publishing and maintaining strict anti-plagiarism standards. Accordingly, all stakeholders—including authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and affiliated associations—are expected to adhere to established ethical guidelines to foster a constructive scientific environment and to mitigate potential conflicts of interest.

Procedures for Scientific Writing

Scientific journals slated for publication must acknowledge all individuals who have contributed to the research process—including conceptualization, design, data collection and analysis, and interpretation of findings. Those who have made substantial contributions to the development of the manuscript should be designated as co-authors, while individuals who provided specific yet non-qualifying input should be recognized as contributors. Both lead and co-authors share collective responsibility for the manuscript’s content. The submission process must ensure that all listed co-authors have been appropriately credited and have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript for publication.

Editors

The editor holds full responsibility and authority to accept or reject submitted manuscripts. In exercising this role, the editor must remain impartial and free from any conflicts of interest pertaining to the content under review. Editorial decisions should be guided by scholarly merit alone and must not be influenced by the authors’ gender, ethnicity, religion, political affiliations, or geographical origin. Furthermore, acceptance or rejection of manuscripts must be based solely on academic standards, uninfluenced by commercial considerations.

Reviewers

Reviewers are responsible for enhancing the quality of manuscripts through an objective and timely peer-review process. They are expected to contribute meaningfully to editorial decisions regarding publication. Should reviewers identify significant similarities or overlaps between the manuscript under review and existing literature, they are obliged to inform the editor. Reviewers must also refrain from evaluating manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, or financial relationships with any of the authors or funding bodies. Furthermore, all privileged information or ideas obtained through the peer-review process must be treated as confidential and not used for personal advantage.

Authors

Authors must ensure that all presented data are original, free from any form of plagiarism or manipulation. Plagiarism such as reproducing or paraphrasing content from other works without proper citation, misrepresenting others' writings as one's own, or claiming others’ research findings is strictly prohibited and constitutes unethical publishing behavior, which is not tolerated by MAPACE Journal. Prior to submission, the corresponding author must confirm that all co-authors and contributors have been properly credited. Authors are obliged to adhere to the journal’s established peer-review process, and submitted manuscripts must not be under consideration or previously accepted by other publications. Any use of previously published data must be appropriately cited. Research involving animal subjects must comply with ethical and safety standards. Authors must also actively avoid conflicts of interest with individuals or institutions related to their work. When necessary, authors are expected to issue corrections, clarifications, or formal retractions, as requested by the publisher.

Publishing Ethics

All participants in the publication process—authors, reviewers, and editors—are expected to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity. The pursuit of commercial or economic interests must never compromise ethical principles or the intellectual rigor of scholarly publishing.
