AIMS AND SCOPE
          Jurnal Agronomi Indonesia (Indonesian Journal of Journal Agronomy), the official journal of the Indonesian Society for Agronomy, publishes primary research papers, review articles, policy analysis and research notes, and preliminary results in all areas of agronomy. Manuscripts must be written in English. Jurnal Agronomi Indonesia (Indonesian of Journal Agronomy) covers agronomy in a broad sense. Subjects include plant production, genetic and plant breeding, plant physiology, plant ecology, plant biotechnology, modeling, seed science and technology, and weeds science. Plant commodities include, but are not limited to, food, horticulture, plantation, and forage crops.

SUBMISSION
          Authors must follow the instructions below when preparing the manuscript. Manuscripts that meet the general requirements for publication in Jurnal Agronomi Indonesia (Indonesian Journal of Agronomy) (e.g. fall within the scope of the journal and have been prepared according to the Instruction for Authors) will be sent for review. Failure to follow the guidelines may make it necessary for the manuscript to be returned for corrections, with a consequent delay in review and publication. Failure to follow normal scientific standardsor a lack of readability may lead to rejection of the manuscript. The submitted manuscript should never been published and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. All authors have to sign the Author Declaration Form, indicating their approval for publication. The form can be downloaded from the journal website.
         The journal recommends the authors perform self-similarity checking using an available checking software and do paraphrasing to minimize the similarity with other manuscripts. The journal will carry a similarity check prior to acceptance, and acceptable similarity is less than 20% excluding reference. The minimum Spelling and Grammar score is 80. Failure to meet this condition may lead to manuscript rejection or delayed acceptance. All submissions are reviewed by a managing editor and at least two reviewers. Jurnal Agronomi Indonesia (Indonesian Journal of Agronomy) uses a double-blind review, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential. FORMATS
          Authors are required to use the journal template for preparing the manuscript. The entire manuscript must be typed with 1.1 spacing on A4-sized paper using Microsoft Word program (.docx). The text should be typed using Cambria font, 10 points. Margins on all four sides are 1.9 cm. The manuscript length is 8 to 12 pages, including tables and figures. Tables and figures are placed within the text just after they are cited.

MANUSCRIPT ORGANIZATION
The first page of the manuscript contains:
1. Type of the paper (Research Article, Review, etc.)
2. Title
3. Full name(s) of author(s) (the * corresponding author should be indicated)
4. Address(es) of author(s) (including email address for the corresponding author)
5. Abstract
6. Keywords

The subsequent pages should include:
1. Introduction
2. Materials and Methods
3. Results and Discussion
4. Conclusions
5. Acknowledgement (if any)
6. References
          Review, policy analysis, and research notes do not have to follow the above organization. The maximum page number for a research note is five pages including tables and figures. Introduction and Methods should be shortly written and without the Abstract.

NOTES FROM EDITORS
1. If the study involves an interview or survey of particular respondents, please state clearly in the methodology that the authors have the letter of consent from them, also proper permission to enter private properties from the authority.
2. Genotyping using non-specific markers such as RAPD or ISSR using less than 10 markers is no longer considered for publications.
3. Changing authorship after submission is not acceptable; please consider authorship before submission.
4. Publication of manuscript as a part of submitted student assignments (undergraduate thesis, thesis, and dissertation) should mention supervisor members as co-authors. Failure to meet this requirement may lead to manuscript retraction after publication.
5. It is advised to ask a proofreading company for manuscript spelling and grammatical checks to speed up the evaluation process.
6. The journal prefers to use past tense for methodology, results, and conclusions.

ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGE
Author whose work is accepted for publication is subjected to pay the article processing charge of IDR 1,500,000 or USD 100. The journal is published online only.
