Editorial Proccess

The suitability of manuscripts for publication in Jurnal Agronomi Indonesia (Indonesian Journal of Agronomy) is judged by peer reviewers and the editorial board. All the review processes are conducted in double-blind review.

The Managing Editor will evaluate the submitted manuscript on a prequalification step for the suitability of further review process and decide whether the paper is recommended to be accepted, rejected, or returned to the author for revision.

Two qualified peer reviewers will evaluate the manuscript and return it with their recommendation to the Managing Editor, usually within 1-2 weeks. If one of the peer reviewers recommends rejection, the Chief Editor will assign a new reviewer or consult the Editorial Board to decide the acceptance status of the manuscript.

Reviewed manuscripts that need revision will be returned to the authors. The revised manuscript must be sent back to the journal. The Managing Editor checks the revised manuscript and gives a recommendation to the Chief Editor if the manuscript should be returned to the authors, accepted, or rejected. The accepted manuscript will be processed for editing and layoutting process by the Technical Editor. The journal will then send a galley proof to authors prior to publication.
