    The Marine Fisheries Journal is back in Volume 4 Number 1 (May 2013). In this edition the Marine Fisheries presents ten peer-reviewed articles in marine technology and fisheries management. Marine fisheries technology studies include a study of polyurethane insulation density on traditional fishing vessels, a model for testing design and construction of danish seine, a study of utilization of stingray by-catch for gelatin and a study on determination of thermal front and upwelling as indicators for potential fishing ground using remote sensing technology. In addition, we also publish articles on marine fisheries management that include a study on small scale fisheries financing, grouper biology parameters, interconnections of minapolitan primary commodity markets, sustainable capture fisheries, a model of brown-marbled groupers sea-ranching, and functional and institutional approaches in fresh fish marketing analysis.

    Marine fisheries in November 2012 presents several peer-reviewed articles as results of scientific studies conducted by various authors from various institutions. Research topics in this edition are fishing capture technology and fisheries system and management.

    Assessment of technological problems is presented in articles that discuss about effect of different attractors to catch juvenile lobsters, a study on a relationship between mesh size and shortening of gillnet, and a research on bait selection and fork hook size. In addition, this edition also includes peer-reviewed articles on implementation of quality management in fishing industry, a study on speargun fishing status in Karimunjawa Islands, and a typology analysis of interaction pattern within fisheries stakeholder.

    Marine Fisheries edition May 2012 presents ten peer-reviewed articles which are written by researchers from several agencies in Indonesia i.e. universities, ministries, and entrepreneurs. The topics published in this edition are fishing technology, fisheries system, and fishing port.
    Assessment of fishing technology is embodied in an article that presents a study on caught process and behavior of fish in gillnet millennium. Then, the fisheries system topic are presented in a study of ecosystem character mapping, a study on capture and distribution of madidihang, a study on distribution and characteristics of Andon fishermen in South Sulawesi. In addition, the study on fishing vessels showed change of gillnetter to be troll liner in Sibolga and a study about existence of fisheries facilities according to activities at the Lampulo coastal fishing port

    It is a great pleasure that the Journal of Marine Fisheries is back by publishing the volume 2, number 2 (May 2011). At this edition, Marine Fisheries Journal decided to publish ten peer-reviewed articles in term of marine fisheries technology and management. First of all, there are two studies on marine fishery technologies i.e. a study on optimum trap and feed forms to capture crabs and a research on stability of a trainer ship in Palabuhanratu district, West Java Province. In addition, there are six studies on marine fisheries management i.e. studies on the management of reef fisheries, shrimp fisheries, and lemuru fisheries, also a research on development of Nizam Zachman ocean fishing port in Jakarta and a study on bioeconomic resources of pelagic fisheries. In addition, there are two studies in term of policy which consist of a study on fisheries institution and a research on zoning efforts in utilization of fishery resources.

    Marine Fisheries May 2011 edition presents several articles as result of studies conducted by various authors from various institutions. In accordance with the scope of the journal, the articles published in this edition show various research results in the field of marine fisheries technology and management.

    Assessment of fisheries technology showed in the articles, present the results of studies on fish oxygen consumption, fish aggregating devices (FADs) utilization, fish sight sensitivity in response to feed, and static stability of fishing vessel. In addition, the study of fisheries management include the studies on legal review and management policy, a study on development of processing industry, a performance analyze of stakeholders in fisheries management as well as fishery and fishing port development strategy.

    “MARINE FISHERIES” Journal of Marine Fisheries Technology and Management Volume 1, Number 2 (November 2010) includes ten peer-reviewed articles which study about fishing vessel, fisheries management and fishery resources condition in Indonesia.  The discussions on fishing vessels include a study of purseiner stability in Aceh and design of fishing vessel's hold for reducing free surface effects of liquid cargo. Then, the studies on fisheries management include fisheries resources management in conflict areas, management of small islands, fisheries management on bioeconomic approach and management of existence-based fishing gear. In addition there is also an article which analyses the condition of scads fisheries in Makassar Strait.
