BUSINESS ANALYSIS OF GULAMAH (Johnius trachycephalus) SALTED FISH SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SMEs) IN PERLIS, BERANDAN BARAT, LANGKAT, NORTH SUMATERA

Abstract

Langkat Regency has a very large potential in fishery sector. Business units in Langkat Regency, especially Perlis Village, are s medium-scale and micro-scale businesses. This study aimed to determine the feasibility of processing salted gulamah fish in Perlis Village, Langkat Regency. The data analysis used in this research is profit analysis, Revenue/Cost Ratio (R/C Ratio), Break-Even Point (BEP) product and price, and Payback Period. The result of the analysis is that the salted fish processing business, both medium and micro-scale, is said to be feasible to run with the payback period included in the fast category. The profit of medium-scale gulamah salted fish business is Rp. 1.095.670.000,-/year and the profit of small-scale gulamah salted fish business is Rp. 657,296,667,-. The BEP value of medium-scale business production is 115,549 kg with a price BEP value of Rp. 10,913, -/kg, the BEP value of small business products is 51,336 kg in 1 year with a BEP value of Rp. 9,697, -/kg. The value of the R/C ratio is 1.56 for the medium scale and 1.75 for the small scale. The payback Period value is 0.64 for medium scale and 0.57 for small scale.
