Kompetensi Penyuluh Pertanian untuk Pemberdayaan Peternak Sapi Potong di Kabupaten Banjarnegara

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kompetensi penyuluh yang perlu ditingkatkan berdasarkan persepsi peternak sapi potong di Kabupaten Banjarnegara. Survei dilakukan terhadap 83 peternak sapi potong yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling, mewakili 20% dari populasi di empat kecamatan utama: Bawang, Mandiraja, Rakit, dan Wanadadi. Responden dipilih berdasarkan daftar resmi peternak aktif yang diperoleh dari Dinas Pertanian setempat. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi area kompetensi yang perlu ditingkatkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 95,43% peternak menerima kunjungan dari penyuluh satu kali dalam sebulan. Peternak berpendapat bahwa penyuluh perlu memiliki setidaknya 13 kompetensi untuk mendukung pemberdayaan mereka. Namun, mereka menekankan perlunya peningkatan kemampuan dalam dua bidang utama: (1) membantu peternak mengatasi masalah terkait permodalan, teknologi, sarana produksi, dan kemitraan eksternal, serta (2) memberikan ide-ide untuk mengoptimalkan agribisnis sapi potong. Penguatan kapasitas penyuluh dalam membangun jejaring eksternal dan kewirausahaan sangat penting untuk meningkatkan keberlanjutan dan kinerja usaha ternak sapi potong di wilayah ini.
