Peer Review Process

Journal of Social Science and Human Ecology (JSSHE) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes multidisciplinary research in the fields of human ecology and social sciences. First published in 2025 by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Human Ecology, IPB University, the journal is issued twice a year, in June and November.

Published in electronic format, JSSHE features scholarly articles that contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge, education, research, and community engagement in Indonesia and other developing countries. The journal aims to foster a deeper understanding of the complex relationships between humans and their social, economic, cultural, and natural environments.

JSSHE welcomes original research articles in the following areas:

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts to the Journal of Social Science and Human Ecology (JSSHE) will undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure they meet high academic and scientific standards. The peer review is conducted using a double-blind review system, where both the reviewers' and authors' identities are kept confidential throughout the process.

Each submission will be evaluated by expert reviewers (bestari partners) and the JSSHE Editorial Board based on its originality, scientific quality, and relevance to the journal’s scope. After the peer-review process, the Editor-in-Chief, in coordination with the editorial team, will make the final decision to accept, reject, or request revisions for the manuscript. All correspondence with authors is handled by the Editor-in-Chief.
