Sintang Regency, designated as a gateway for national tourism development under the Master Plan for the Acceleration of National Economic Development (MP3EI), recognizes tourism as a pivotal sector for regional economic growth. This study aims for planning an eco-cultural tourism landscape of the Luit and Rentap Hills, Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan, leveraging its natural and cultural assets. Employing survey and literature review methods, the research followed stages of inventory, analysis, and synthesis. Findings reveal the area’s potential for eco-cultural tourism, characterized by natural landscapes, diverse flora and fauna, Dayak Indigenous cultural traditions, and agricultural practices. The planning framework proposes two zoning strategies: a conservation zone to preserve ecological integrity through passive activities (nature observation) and a non-conservation zone to accommodate active tourism (cultural exhibitions and farming experiences). This dual approach balances environmental sustainability with economic objectives, ensuring the protection of biodiversity and cultural heritage while promoting community-based tourism. The study concludes that the Luit and Rentap Hill’s unique integration of ecological and cultural resources positions it as a viable eco-cultural destination, contingent on structured management and stakeholder collaboration.
