Albacore is a scientific journal published by the Department of Fisheries Resource Utilization, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Bogor Agricultural University (FPIK IPB). This journal continues the PSP Bulletin, which ran from 1992 to 2013.
This journal publishes research findings on fisheries and marine resources, including exploration and exploitation technology, shipping and navigation, fishing ports, occupational safety, fish behavior, regulations, laws, and policies, general fisheries resource management, and maritime transportation.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Manuscripts published in this journal are derived from research or reviews by academics from various universities, government institutions, and observers of capture fisheries resource management and maritime transportation in Indonesia.
