Pemanfaatan Potensi Lokal Desa Simo Melalui Pengembangan Pariwisata Desa

Abstract

Simo Village is one of the villages in Kradenan District, Grobogan Regency, Central Java Province which has local potential, namely agriculture, animal husbandry, forestry, the furniture industry, MSMEs and tourism. The tourism potential in Simo Village can be developed because it has potential natural resources and human resources. Tourism development activities aim to grow local potential-based tourism businesses in Simo Village, foster community creativity and increase community economic resources. Tourism development is carried out through two programs, namely the utilization of Pongol Island in the middle of the Simo Reservoir which was initially abandoned as a Pongol Island Tourism Object and the construction of the Digdaya Culinary Market by utilizing teak forests and wood waste. The implementation of the program involves the active role of the Simo Village government, village-owned enterprises, tourism awareness groups, youth and housewives who are SMEs in Simo Village. The development of the Pongol Island Tourism Object has been able to attract tourists to visit until Simo Village has been successfully designated as one of the tourist villages in Grobogan Regency. The development of the Digdaya Culinary Market is a place for creativity for MSMEs in culinary and traditional cultural arts so that they can increase the economic resources of the people of Simo Village. However, there is a need for sustainability efforts through improving tourism infrastructure, increasing tourism management human resources and increasing tourism publications, promotion and branding so that Simo Village continues to develop as a tourism village in Grobogan Regency.
