Journal of Wildlife and Conservation Medicine (J. Wildl. Conserv. Med.) is a peer-reviewed and open access scientific journal in the field of wildlife in general and conservation medicine in particular.

Aims. The journal aims to disseminate various information about wildlife rapidly and widely to the scientific community, policy makers, and conservation practitioners.

Scope. The journal covers topics on wildlife conservation (both ex-situ and in-situ), biology, evolution, ecology, taxonomy, morphology, physiology, genetics, and medicine in terms of wild animals (terrestrial and aquatic).

Article Type. The journal accepts manuscripts of original research findings, reviews, case reports, and short communications.

Publication Frequency. The journal publishes manuscripts twice a year, namely in June and December. The first issue will be published in January 2025.

Language. The journal accepts manuscripts in English and Indonesian, with English manuscripts preferred. Articles submitted in Indonesian will be translated into English, with the cost charged to the author.

Article Processing Charge. Submission fee and article processing charge (APC) are free. All publication costs are covered by the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SVMBS), IPB University.

Peer-review process. The peer-review process is carried out in a double-anonymized system. All procedures and decisions are independent, transparent, and accountable. The final decision is up to two months after receipt of a well-formatted manuscript unless additional review is needed or it depends on the author's response or revision.

Publisher. SVMBS IPB University collaborates with the Indonesia Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA/PDHI) and the Association of Indonesian Wildlife Aquatic and Exotic Animals Veterinarians (ASLIQEWAN) to publish the journal. PT Penerbit IPB Press supports designing, layout, and printing the journal articles.
