Abstract
Squids are fishery resources with important economic value and the second highest production rate landed in PPN Karangantu. The purpose of this research was to study population dynamic of squids (Loligo sp.) in Banten Bay waters. Growth pattern of female and male squids are negative allometric. Asymptotic length (L∞) of male squid is greater than female and growth coefficient of male and female are 0.06 and 0.16. An analysis on squids exploitation rate is showing that the rate of exploitation of squids in PPN Karangantu has exceeded the optimum rate threshold (0.5), biologically this value indicates over exploited on resources of squids fishery.
