INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Requirements for Article Acceptance

Sent manuscripts are the results of research that have never been published in other journals and plagiarism free. The Similarity Index of manuscripts will be checked by Turnitin with the maximum index is 20%. Manuscripts can be written either in Indonesian or in English following the rules of the Indonesian language or the English language. Authors are willing to make revisions to the manuscript based on results of the review sent by the Journal editor team. Manuscripts that do not comply with the general requirements cannot be accepted. Articles are published in both online and printed version.

Scope

Articles published in Jurnal Ilmu Nutrisi dan Teknologi Pakan cover the fields of nutrition and feed technology, including agrostology, feed industry and technology, poultry nutrition, beef animal nutrition, draught animal nutrition, dairy animal nutrition, pet and prospectus animal, rumen microbiology, livestock microbiology, nutritional physiology, nutrient metabolism, molecular biology study related to feed nutrition, animal and its metabolism, and other studies relevant to current issues and topics in the field of nutrition and feed technology.

Article Submission

Manuscript can be uploaded to the website of Jurnal Ilmu Nutrisi dan Teknologi Pakan after registering to:

http://journal.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jurnalintp/user/register

After the manuscript is received, the editorial board will send a statement letter of receiving the manuscript with the manuscript number.

Article Processing Charge 

Jurnal Ilmu Nutrisi dan Teknologi Pakan charges an article processing fee of IDR 500,000 starting Volume 20 Number 3 (December 2022). Authors are required to pay an article publication handling fee if the paper is accepted for publication.

Manuscript Format

Journal of Nutrition and Feed Technology (JINTP) publishes original research article and review papers.  Complete manuscript is sent and typed in Cambria style, size 12, single space, justify alignment. Each page of the manuscript is given a page number. The manuscript consists of sequentially parts:

1. Title (in Indonesia and English)
2. Full name of all authors
3. Authors’ institutions and addresses
4. Email of corresponding author
5. Abstract in English and Indonesia followed by the keywords
6. Introduction
7. Materials and methods
8. Results and Discussion
9. Conclusion
10. Acknowledgement (if any)
11. References

Manuscript Preparation

General

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal must be double-spaced, 12-point Cambria font with 3 cm margin all around. Consecutive line and page numbers are required. Greek letters and special symbol are inserted using the symbol palette.  Math equations are created with Microsoft equation, MathType or LaTex.

Title Page

Required items on the page are:

Title

The title of the manuscript is written on Bahasa Indonesia and English. Title must be prepared as brief as possible, interesting, includes keywords, but do not include abbreviation. A title with the first word and proper nouns capitalized.  Species of subject is encouraged. . The title does not contain verbs. The title is typed in inverted pyramid with a capital letter in each word, and no more than 15 words.

Authors

The authors must be written below the title of manuscript without professional ranks or titles. The names typed in full name (given name, middle initial, family name) of all authors. Authors full name at least consists of two words. If there is only one word, the family name may be added. Author identity including name of Department and University, City, Country and Postal Code must be written with superscript of Arabic numerals. Institutions of the authors with location denoted with a number (1, 2, and so on) behind the author last name.  Also, the corresponding author name is indicated with “ * “. The phone number and email address of corresponding author should be informed.

Abstract

Abstract is written in Bahasa Indonesia and English consisted of no more than 200 words. The abstract contains of purposes, methods, data analysis, parameters, results and discussion, and conclusion. At the end of Abstract, five keywords are presented in alphabetical order. Keywords are not always in single words. Keywords could include the animal species, variables tested, and the major response criteria.

Introduction

The introduction contains of background, problem identification and objectives of the research. The Introduction may contain references to support the research. The number of references used in each paragraph is limited to 4 references. The Introduction may highlight a novelty and hypotheses of research. The research objectives must be explicitly stated in the last paragraph.  This journal follows CSE Citation Style: 8th Edition (2023), with a modification on the name of journal references should written in full name.

Method

Method must contain a brief information of material, statistical and analytical procedures. A clear description must be written for all biological, analytical, and statistical procedures used in the experiment. Method used a standard protocol may be briefly written. Research observes at least 4 parameters.

Results dan Discussion

Result and Discussion contains data presented in the form of informative tables, figures, graphs, or photos. Discussion should be prepared to draw a conclusion. The number is written on Bahasa Indonesia format (decimal points are typed with comma). Articles in English used a comma typed with a period for decimal numbers. At the beginning of paragraph, discussion presents a result followed by author’s discussion and supported by qualified references. The references form journal is preferred (Thesis or Dissertation were not allowed). A small conclusion at the end of each paragraph is recommended.

Conclusion

Conclusion emphasizes a pertinent overview of study with no discussion. It must be written shortly and concisely.

Acknowledgement

The authors may acknowledge a support form Research Funder. The name of the funder should be confirmed in advance to obtain approval for inclusion in the article.

References 

This section includes all references cited in the article. An article should use 10-30 references (within the last 10 years). Not allowed to use popular scientific books, textbooks, practical books, thesis and dissertation for references. We recommend preparing the references with a bibliography software package, such as EndNote, Mendeley, Reference Manager or Zotero to avoid typing mistakes and duplicated references.
