Abstract

Pertanian berkelanjutan merupakan komponen penting dalam pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Pengukuran keberlanjutan pertanian mutlak dilakukan untuk lebih memahami kondisi saat ini, mengidentifikasi tren, menetapkan target, memantau kemajuan, dan membandingkan kinerja antar wilayah. Penelitian tentang keberlanjutan pertanian di Indonesia lebih banyak dilakukan pada level usaha tani atau lokal. Indonesia belum memiliki indikator pertanian berkelanjutan yang menjadi tolok ukur penilaian pertanian berkelanjutan pada level regional/provinsi/nasional. Hal ini disebabkan karena begitu kompleksnya penilaian yang perlu dilakukan untuk mendapatkan hasil yang baik untuk penilaian pada level regional dan nasional. Indikator yang dapat diukur mengenai kelestarian lingkungan pertanian, dengan tujuan meminimalkan dampak lingkungan dari pertanian, merupakan alat penting untuk membantu menggerakkan dunia menuju masa depan pangan yang berkelanjutan. Indikator memungkinkan pembuat kebijakan, petani, bisnis, dan masyarakat sipil untuk lebih memahami kondisi saat ini, mengidentifikasi trend, menetapkan target, memantau kemajuan, dan membandingkan kinerja antar wilayah dan negara.
