Laporan Kasus: Upaya Meningkatkan Asupan Zat Gizi pada Pasien Bayi Malnutrisi

Abstract

This report describes a case of an 11-month-old infant boy patient, with spontaneous bacterial peritonitis, severe stunted marasmic type of malnourished at the rehabilitation phase, acute diarrhea with moderate-mild dehydration resolved, biliary atresia fibrosis stage Laennec score 4B (biliary cirrhosis), small secundum ASD (atrial septal defect), and cytomegaloviral disease. The patient was hospitalized for treatment of infection with malnutrition, jaundice, icteric, and nausea. Biochemical examination showed anemia, thrombocytopenia, hypoalbuminemia, and electrolyte imbalance. Diet was given gradually based on his current condition. During three days of observation, nutrient intake increased gradually until it reached the target of intervention, for a minimum of 90% of energy and nutrient requirements.
