Abstract
Consuming vegetables and fruit is an important requirement for achieve balanced nutrition in school-aged children. Parents act as educators and initiators to get children used to eat vegetables vegetables and fruit. This study aims to analyze the relationship between maternal nutritional knowledge and family income level with the level of vegetable and fruit consumption of school-aged children in Babakan Village. This research used a cross sectional design with 37 subjects selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through interviews using questionnaires and FFQ. This research was conducted in August-November 2023 in Babakan Village, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency. Based on data analysis, the majority of mothers (59%) have a good level of nutritional knowledge. Most families (49%) have very high incomes. Meanwhile, the level of vegetable and fruit consumption of school-aged children is mostly (89%) dominant in the low category. The results of the Rank Spearman Correlation test show that there is a significant relationship between maternal nutritional knowledge with school-age children's consumption of vegetables and fruit (p<0.05) with a fairly strong positive correlation coefficient (0.40<(r)≤0,70). Meanwhile, there is no significant relationship between family income level with vegetable and fruit consumption in school-age children (p>0.05).
