Status Gizi dan ASI Eksklusif dengan Kejadian Stunting di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Puding Nutritional Status and Exclusive Breastfeeding with Stunting Incidence in Puding Health Center
Abstract
Stunting and being underweight in children under five now become global problems, especially in poor and developing countries. Jambi Province is still facing the problem of the high prevalence of stunting in children under the age of five, which is still above the WHO standard of 30.1%, and one of the areas with the highest prevalence of stunting is Muaro Jambi district, which is 27.2%. Risk factors that influence the incidence of stunting are low levels of energy adequacy, protein, zinc, and low birth weight. Infectious diseases and nutritional disorders are often found together and their relationship influences other factors related to stunting. Research design using cross-sectional. The research location is in the working area of Puding Health Center, Muaro Jambi Regency in February 2022. The subjects in this study were children under five. The statistical test used is the 95% CI chi-square test. The results of the study stated that there was a relationship between exclusive beastfeeding and nutritional status with the incidence of stunting in the Puding Health Center Work Area with a p-value (p<0.05).
