Abstract

Fish feed should contain all the necessary nutrients, including protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Some alternative feed ingredients can be used in the preparation of feed, one of which is seagrass leaf meal. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of adding seagrass leaf meal to the diet on specific growth rate and survival of ornamental Koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus). The research was conducted for 28 days at Bhayangkara Residence Baiti Jannati Block T1 No. 3 Sumbawa Regency. The method used was an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments with 3 replicates so that 15 experimental units were obtained. The treatments tested were the addition of different seagrass leaf meal to the diets consisting of P1: control (no addition of seagrass leaf meal), P2: 3% seagrass leaf meal, P3: 6% seagrass leaf meal, P4: 9% seagrass leaf meal and P5: 12% seagrass leaf meal. The results showed that the highest to lowest average specific growth rate was P5 treatment at 2.29%, followed by P4 at 1.52%, P3 at 1.40%, P2 at 0.34%, and P1 (control) -1.15%. As for the survival rate, P5 treatment 87%, P4 80%, P3 and P2 67% each, and the lowest P1 (control) 53%. The addition of seagrass leaf meal to the diet affected the specific growth rate and survival rate of koi (C. rubrofuscus). The addition of a 12% seagrass leaf meal dose is the best treatment that can provide a specific growth rate of 2.29% and a survival rate of 87%.
